BT Exchanges

As part of BT Web Clicks you will be given a priority listing on BT Exchanges and other BT Directory sites. Your listing will contain up to 250 characters of text about your business. A call free facility to your business, links to your website, a metered number, map and directions (if you list an address) and the ability for customers to text or email your business.

This listing (along with your search engine sponsored listings) will appear often enough to ensure that you receive your required number of contacts.

You may choose the priority listing to appear in up to 10 classifications and up to 10 hotspots (a geographic area).

Search Engines

We use cutting-edge techniques to choose keywords that will get you the best results on the search engines.

Our experts select search engines that will deliver quality traffic to your site. A typical mix might include well-known major search engines and more specialised engines

Traffic reports and guarantees

Every month we will report how many contacts BT Web clicks has sent to your business.

• Your advertisement will appear often enough to deliver your guaranteed number of contacts. However, it will not appear on BT Exchanges and the search engines every time you search for it. You might have to search your keywords several times before seeing it. The more contacts you order, the more often it will appear
• We cannot capture specific information about your visitors, such as names, addresses or times of day

We guarantee that over twelve months you will receive all the contacts you have ordered, and so on for each subsequent year. If for some exceptional reason this is not possible we will refund the cost of the unused contacts. As this is an annual guarantee it is subject to a 12-month minimum term.

Incompatible advertising

Multiple accounts
Search engines do not permit multiple advertising accounts covering the same URL. If you already buy clicks from Google or Yahoo! we will be unable to process your order.

Pop-up ads
Search-engine policies prevent us offering BT Web clicks for websites that use pop-up ads.

Payment and contract term

• BT Web Clicks accepts payment by Direct Debit
• The price charged depends on your chosen business classification and number of clicks. For the majority of business types the pricing tier is £40 per month for 40 clicks per month. However, some classifications are more costly, reflecting higher demand and/or advertising charges on major search engines
• A set up fee will also apply
• The minimum contract term for BT Web Clicks is 12 months, after which you may cancel without penalty at any time

Advertising standards

Our copywriters will write your search engine advertisement, but it is based on the content of your website. You are responsible for ensuring that both the advert and your website comply with the advertising codes.

Prohibited content

Prohibited content includes aids to pass drug tests, violence against any organisation or person (public, private, or protected), bulk marketing, cable descramblers or black boxes, counterfeit design goods, defamatory subject matter, dialers, drugs and/or drug paraphernalia, fake documents, fireworks or explosives, computer hacking or cracking, gambling, gratuitous or graphic violence, miracle cures, material that infringes or violates the rights of others, material that promotes products or activities that are illegal, modification chips, political or activist causes, prostitution, solicitation of funds, cigarette / tobacco use, traffic devices, and weapons. The above list is not exhaustive and we reserve the right to prohibit any content that we consider inappropriate.
