BT Business Circle Complete

A few pointers before you go to make keeping in touch as easy when you're away on business as it is when you're in the UK:

Before you go

  • International roaming and access to premium rate services are subject to status and a satisfactory billing history, so please call customer services at least two days before you travel
  • If you are going to the USA or Canada, please contact us three days before you go to make sure your mobile will work when you're away
  • Set up your voicemail security code before you leave to make sure you can access your messages easily

To set up your voicemail security code:

  • Call 1571
  • Press 42 to access the security settings
  • Press 2 to set your voicemail security code
  • If you forget your voicemail security code, please call customer services on 0800 678 1030, and they'll help you set up a new one

When you arrive

When you switch on your mobile, it will search for a local network. The name of the network will automatically appear on your display, or if you prefer you can choose a network manually.

Using voicemail abroad

  • You will receive a text message to notify you of any new voicemail messages
  • To listen to your messages:
  • Call your mailbox number which is included in your text notification in the international format (prefixed with +44 without the leading 0)
  • Key 9 when hearing the greeting
  • Enter your voicemail security code
  • To find your mailbox number, go to the BT services menu and select the 'My voicemail no.' from the messaging menu

Don't forget!

  • Store the numbers in your phone book in the international format e.g. +441610000000
  • You're charged for receiving calls whilst abroad - so remember to end your call when you've finished talking
  • Pack your charger and adapter
  • Take your Welcome Pack and wallet card
