To help you manage your mobile costs we will send you SMS text messages to alert you when spend on your mobile device exceeds the following threshold levels.

1. Lower level - We will send an SMS text to the user when spend on a mobile device has reached this trigger value.

This is sent to the person using the mobile device only and is to advise the user that charges are being incurred, this is for information only, helping you control your spend. We will take no further action at this stage.

2. Upper level - We will send an SMS text to the user when spend on a mobile device has reached this trigger value.

This message is sent to the person using the mobile device and is not sent to the bill payer.

To avoid suspension of the service, it is essential that the user arranges for the bill payer to contact BT immediately on the telephone number provided on the text message received.

If BT suspend the service the user will no longer be able to make or receive calls, send SMS texts, browse the internet or send or receive e-mails. The user will still be able to make emergency calls.

Important note: Charges will start being incurred when any bundle of minutes, data or text on the mobile subscription has been exceeded or shared between mobiles on your account. The upper and lower level trigger values exclude VAT.
